Tisno is a place on the coast and on the island of Murter, connected by a drawbridge. We are located in the center of the Adriatic coast where we are surrounded by numerous islands from the south with the Kornati National Park. To the east is the historic town of Šibenik (since 1066), near which is the Krka National Park with its famous waterfalls and the first electric power plant in Europe and the second in the world. To the west is the nature park Vransko jezero and the famous ornithological reserve, and a little further on is the historic city of Zadar, known even from the Starprim era. The island of Murter is the most populated island of the Šibenik- Knin County with 4 places that until recently were fishing communities. There are also famous builders of traditional wooden boats.
